NEXT GENERATION MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT

infographic1

  1. 1. REGULATED MEDICAL WASTE

“RMW” is waste generated in the delivery of healthcare as defined by the Hospital / Healthcare Facility that requires treatment prior to disposal.

  2. 2. ONCORE 25

is the solution used to treat “RMW”, generated at the time of treatment.

  3. 3. MACERATION

The Processor rotates constantly to macerate the waste and allow the Onchlor 25 to reach a Log6 treatment level.

  4. 4. SHREDDING

All treated “RMW”, is shredded to comply with HIPPA for patient protection. Sensitive/Confidential documents are an option.

  5. 5. DISPOSAL

The treated and shredded (now) solid waste is ready for disposal

Competition

Incineration

A waste treatment process that involves the combustion of organic substances contained in waste materials. Often described as thermal treatment, incineration converts waste materials into ash, flue gas, and heat.

  • Expensive to build and maintain
  • Emissions are increasingly oroblematic
  • Very few remaining incineration sites
  • Costly to use

Steam Autoclave

A solid waste treatment that utilizes heat, saturated steam and pressure of an autoclave device to process waste.

  • Treatment is hit or miss unless agitation is used
  • Extremely odorous
  • Expensive to maintain and staff
  • Long treatment cycle to reach regulatory requirements
  • Reliable track record
  • Highly effective sanitizing proccess
  • Quick treatment cycle
  • Low operating cost
  • No odors
  • Small footprint
  • Fully neutrlized end product

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

At the heart of Oncore Technology’s treatment process is the powerful sanitizing agent, Onchlor 25, as well as a variety of processor sizes and options that allow Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) to be safely and effectively treated onsite. Inside the RMW Processor, waste is saturated with Onchlor 25, which is automatically generated on demand and enters the sealed process chamber in a liquid form. The waste processor rotates and agitates the waste against a series of internal blades macerating the contents to ensure thorough contact with the Onchlor 25 solution. After treatment, Oncore’s integrated medical waste disposal system renders the treated materials unrecognizable, compact and ready for disposal or recycling.
